Amanya Francis is Grants Specialist. He has been a key player in the implementation of health system strengthening model through sub granting in Uganda. He has worked in all regions of Uganda for Government of Uganda and Development Partners both national partners and international partners.
He was actively involved in providing technical assistance and capacity building of local and international organization in the areas of grants management and compliance to all donor requirements including development of policy documents such as grants management policies and manuals for different organizations such UHMG,ACODEV,CIDI,MUCOBADI,LADA,UDN,CEHURD,WhiteRibbonAlliance,RHU,STF, Uganda Red Cross Society and many more Non-Governmental organizations and Local Governments (districts) especially building capacities in planning, management, supervision and monitoring performance of sub Grants.
Amanya Francis worked with Development Partners (Organizations) such as UNHCR, PATH Uganda, and Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) Baylor Uganda among others. Amanya Francis has undoubtable experience in managing UN, USAID, DFID, CDC and many more donor funds).
Amanya Francis has special interest in developing strong and robust health systems in developing countries. He believes in evidence based policies and strategies and has special interests in operational sub granting to guide policy formulation. He was involved in proposal writing (DYNAMICS-VSO ,ABC-PATH, NUYDP –VSO .Has developed Grant monitoring documents for National and international Non-Governmental organizations such as UHMG, white Ribbon Alliance and Many more.
Amanya Francis’ educational background includes: BA in Accounting, from Makerere University, ACCA (MAT) specialized trainings in Donor Funds management by Inside NGOs,
And ICPAU .
